Event - Tuesday Tales

The Mieco Beach Yacht Club is debuting a new monthly event at 5:30pm on the
evening of Tuesday, December 7: Tuesday Tales - at the RRE Bokonake House.
The idea is to invite two guests to speak for 15 minutes on their topic,
each followed by a question and answer session. While the speakers will be
chosen with newly-arrived yachties in mind, the majority of speakers will
have interest for all.
This coming Tuesday, the guest speakers will be Alson Kelen from the Canoe
House who will speak on the history of canoes in the Marshalls. The second
speaker will be Hilton Kendall of the Ministry of Internal Affairs who will
speak on obtaining permission to visit the outer islands and about the
islands themselves.
The event is free and there will be a simple bar so you can buy beers or
wine. Tuesday Tales will last about one hour, after which people can
gravitate upstairs to the Tide Table to enjoy Mexican night. It would be
handy if you could RSVP this invitation, so we can get an idea of numbers,
but all are welcome without an RSVP. The event is open to non-members of the
yacht club, so invite your friends.
