The Eighth Annual Coconut Cup Regatta will take place on Saturday, April 9,
on Majuro lagoon. The regatta is believed to be the only race in the world
that sees modern yachts and sailing dinghies sail alongside traditional
outrigger canoes. This year, for the first time, the Coconut Cup will be
used by the Mieco Beach Yacht Club as the final race in the 2004-05 season.
While the race is independent of the Mieco Beach Yacht Club, the
boats' times will be taken and added to the season's standings.
