Navire wins for second time

The fourth race in this season’s Mieco Beach Yacht Club series ended with all the yachts finishing within 10 minutes on corrected time.

Navire, skippered by Tony Brewer, managed to beat Seal (Cary Evarts) by one minute and four seconds, while third place was taken out by Toucan (Tom Sauer), fourth by Aquila (Frans Nooij), and fifth by Costa Vida (Mark Schlichting).

Sunday’s race was held in picture-perfect conditions with sunny skies and 10 to 15 knots of wind.

The club’s next event will be to take part in the Ninth Annual Coconut Cup Regatta, which is being held on Saturday, March 25. Two yachts from Kwajalein Yacht Club are expected to sail down for the three-day event.
